Custom Imprinted Outdoor Flags
Finishing Your Flag
An important question is how you want the flag to be finished. The most popular and versatile finish for outdoor flags is CANVAS HEADER & GROMMETS. We sew on a reinforced canvas header and drop in brass grommets. Another finish is to sew in a pole sleeve that is sewn shut at the top so it slips over a pole. We also normally place one brass grommet at the bottom of the flag so you can attach that flag at the bottom to the pole so your flag doesn’t blow off you pole. This finish requires us to know what DIAMETER your pole is. (This is a question we will ask you when we send you a quote).
Custom flags are traditionally made out of knitted polyester or nylon fabric. For 5’x8’ or larger flags we use a new material called Super Knit Polyester.
Where are your flags made?

Single / Reverse Outdoor Flag Construction - Important Information
Outdoor flag construction is SINGLE/REVERSE, meaning flags read correct on one side and bleed through mirror image on the other side of the flag. This is what we highly recommend, over 99% of outdoor flags are made single/reverse. For reasons why read the paragraph below.
Double Sided Outdoor Flag Construction
It may sound good to have your flags constructed double sided, but the truth is it’s not a good idea. 99% of all “outdoor” flags are constructed single/reverse just like your state flag and there are reasons for this. First, the only way to make the flag double sided is to make two of them and sew them together with a Tyvec liner in the middle. This makes the flags expensive and very heavy. Heavy double sided flags do not fly very well, because they need more wind to kick them up. The weight of the flag also causes the flag to rip faster because of the extra weight on the end of the flag.
Bottom line: double- sided flags are expensive to make, don’t fly well and don’t last nearly as long as single/reverse flags. The only flags that should be double sided are parade, rodeo flags and some indoor presentation flags.
If you have logos or graphics that you want to be imprinted on your flag, we need “Vector manipulative” art work designed in Adobe Illustrator. We can sometimes use very high resolution jpegs or tiffs, but we cannot use low resolution or small graphic files.
You can send your art to us via email by CLICKING HERE.
We can imprint any Pantone/PMS color, but you must either submit instruction of the Pantone/PMS colors or have the Pantone/PMS colors embedded into the art work you submit. (If your art work is a jpeg, tiff or created using cmyk we “are not responsible for how the colors will imprint”).
