Applique, (Sewn Nylon)

The term "appliqué" refers to the process of sewing a design or lettering onto a flag.

Appliquéd flags are created with premium quality SolarMax nylon.

A nylon appliquéd flag's design reads correct on the front side and reverse (backwards) on the back side. This is called single construction. Single construction is normal for most outdoor applications. For parade or rodeo use, we can make two flags and sew them together, so the flag will read correct on both sides; this is called double construction.

Finishes

Parade, rodeo, and indoor appliquéd flags are usually finished with a pole hem, tabs, and fringed. Outdoor use appliqué flags are usually finished with a canvas header and two brass grommets.

Applique Pricing (minimum of one)

Pricing is determined by many factors (i.e., size, finish, detail of the design etc). When submitting a concept design to us, please include the size, colors, usage (indoor, outdoor, parade, rodeo), quantity, type of finish, (single construction or double construction), date needed; fringed or unfringed.

The Flag Store defines the designs for appliqué in four classes. Please use the photos and pricing below as a guide for pricing.

Prices above are priced as single construction, meaning the design looks correct on one side and is reverse on other side of the flag; finished with a canvas header and grommets. To read correctly on both sides requires two flags to be made and sewn back to back. For this add 80% of the price above. Other sizes and finishes are available. Artwork

When submitting artwork for applique quotation, we can usually give you a prompt quote after you have faxed or emailed art with brief explanation of what size, quantity you are looking for. When submitting artwork for production, you can email it to us or bring it to our business location.

Format

Please submit art on disk or by email in PC Adobe vector/manipulative .ai or eps format. Files not ready for print may incur art charges. Art charges are billed at 55.00 per hour. We will advise you of any art charges when you submit your artwork. (Bottom Line: The better the art work you submit means less work for us, which means you will pay less.
